Rewa Paewai - National Coordinator, Te Reo Māori Professional Development:
If you have been to TKI or the new Te Reo Māori site, you will see Te Whakaipurangi [Raemi] is a resource that you can open up, you can go into. And there is a huge range of really good resources on there.

There is a grammar progression that outlines what sentence structures you would teach at levels one, two, three, four and so on. There’s a high frequency word list, so the 1000 most frequently used words in te reo Māori.

There is also assessment checklists, those are very, very useful. In terms of setting learning intentions and success criteria, they can be used in that way but they can also be used to monitor your students progress ... they can be used diagnostically and formatively.

There’s also student checklists, so students can determine for themselves under a particular achievement objective, what their objectives are, so they can determine what is it that I want to be able to do as a result of what we’re learning in class today.
