Welcome to Ka Mau te Wehi!

Ka Mau te Wehi! is an expression meaning "Awesome!" or "Fantastic!".

It is used in this context to acknowledge and celebrate all achievements, large or small, that the teacher and the learner make as together, they learn te reo.

Tēnā koe

Greetings

Tēnā koutou katoa ngā kaiako i roto i ngā kura huri noa i te motu. Greetings to all teachers in schools throughout the country.
He rauemi tēnei hei hāpai i te reo Māori i roto i ngā kura. This resource has been produced to support Māori language in schools.
Ko te tūmanako ka ngāwari ake te whakamahi i te reo Māori hei reo whakaako, hei reo kōrero, hei reo waiata, hei reo ngahau. It is hoped that this resource will make it easier to use Māori as a language of learning, conversation, song and enjoyment.
Hei reo mō te kaiako
Hei reo mō te ākonga
Hei reo mō te katoa
Hei reo mō Aotearoa!
It is a language for the teacher
It is a language for the student
It is a language for everyone
It is a language for the nation!
Ākona! Whakamahia! Pupuritia, kia mau! Learn it! Use it! Hold on to it!
